Hola! My love for the Spanish language began when I started studying Spanish in middle school. I continued studying Spanish throughout high school and college. I decided to study abroad one semester in Seville, Spain my sophomore year of college. It was one of the best experiences of my life!
After I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison I found a job teaching English in Madrid, Spain. I spent a year there and decided that I loved teaching! I completed my post-baccalaureate in Spanish education ( K-12) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While I was completing my teacher certification I taught English to Spanish speakers at a nonprofit organization in Milwaukee called SER.
I am married to Yan Arsenault( He is from Quebec, Canada and his first language is French). We met in Bermuda and lived there for 13 years! We have 3 children: Lauren (19), Matt(17), and Kate (15).
Outside of work you will find me at one of my kid’s sporting events such as Matt’s skiing or tennis tournaments or Kate’s volleyball or track meets.
In my free time I enjoy jogging, walking our yellow lab, Colby, and volunteering at Clearwater Farm.

MY CLASSROOM
During my Spanish classes, my students will be exposed to the Spanish language and culture of various Spanish-speaking countries. Since I love to make learning fun, my students will be playing games, singing songs, reading, using technology and more in order to encourage, challenge and motivate them to learn Spanish.
